Weaving wellbeing into everyday

Somatic therapy and coaching to help you feel more connected

to yourself, your community, and the earth

I am a somatic psychotherapist and coach and I am passionate about supporting people on their healing journey. I am physically based in Durham, NC, and serve therapy clients in both North Carolina and Washington and coaching clients worldwide.

Therapy is an opportunity to give focused attention to the various parts and pieces of ourselves that have been hurting, and offer them truth and care, so we can step further into our truest expression.

My hope in our work together is that you can find healing and more sustainable ways of leading the life you envision: connected to your self, community, and the earth.

Approach

  • We are human beings forming a connection from the moment we meet. Our connection is where healing, and thus therapy begins. I approach therapy from a holistic place, seeing us as living beings who are part of and in relationship with the world around us. Therapy is an opportunity to invite deep healing for ourselves, which leads to the transformation of our community and ultimately, the world.

  • Our bodies are storytellers. They retain and remember our lives through the sensations we have experienced. When life becomes overwhelming, whether from a specific event or exhaustion over time, we can enhance the healing process by tending to our body’s stories. In our work together, we will cultivate a space for you to engage these stories and learn embodied practices to begin aligning your mindset and your actions, paving the way for healing to occur.

  • I am mindful of the ways environmental, systemic, and internalized oppressions from our varying identities impact our mental health and well-being, both on an individual and collective scale. As such, I offer reflection and connection on this in our work together. The specifics of the healing process are particular to the personality, and intersections of each person’s identity regarding race, ethnicity, gender, culture, class, ability, education, sexual orientation, language, age, etc.

Offerings

Somatic Psychotherapy

Stepping into individual therapy provides you with dedicated time for healing the deeper parts of you that have kept you from truly flourishing. Trauma often holds us back from feeling and expressing our authentic selves, but therapy can help us heal from the harm we have experienced. In our work together, I will support you in uncovering and integrating the harmful patterns from your past to find empowerment and freedom now.

Somatic Coaching

Coaching is an opportunity to give focused attention to the places in our lives that don’t feel exactly as we want them to. We can take a pause to notice what has held us back from achieving our goals and make needed shifts, enabling us to find ways to take the actions we have been hoping to for a while. I approach coaching from a holistic place, seeing us as living beings who are part of and in relationship with the world around us.
